Our Values:   

We want nothing but the best for our dogs and puppies! The value & quality of our breeding program starts with our dogs. Each of our dogs was bought from very reputable breeders around the USA.

We have thousands of dollars in each Chi then you add everything it takes to make our breeding program run: health testing on every dog, vet visits, so many supplies to buy for dog care, as well as top-rated dog and puppy food.

Next comes our mamas. We take extra measures to make sure all pregnant mamas are very well cared for. This includes their diet- they are on a very high protein diet, daily prenatal vitamins all the way through weaning puppies, and lots of love and attention.

Labor does not always go the way we hope and sometimes a c-section is necessary. From the day puppies are born we are closely watching them to make sure they latch on, warm and thrive. Occasionally we have one who has to bottle feed, they require round-the-clock care with every two-hour feedings.

From day one puppies are held and handled and spoiled. We start puppies on a high-quality mush made from the dry kibble they will be on along with filtered water. Puppies are well socialized and introduced to all kinds of sounds including the vacuum, fireworks, thunderstorms, children playing and screaming, and much more.

We introduce pee pad training along with going potty outside (when the weather is good). I put together weekly photos and videos along with offering FaceTime all the way up until your puppy goes home. Your puppy will see my veterinarian at 8 weeks for a wellness check and shots.

I put my heart and soul into each and every one of my dogs and puppies. ❤️ Our dogs live a very happy and spoiled life and I want nothing but the best for the puppies as well. How could you not put love into your Chis? 💕 Loving my Chis and having them love me back is so fulfilling! Vacations and sleeping in are not in the question because having a house full of Chis is a 24-7 job. Is it worth it? Yes absolutely!

So we at Precious Gems AKC Chihuahuas strive for nothing but the best for all of our dogs and puppies and invest the time it takes to get it!

Once puppies are born we like to wait about 2 weeks to evaluate them before pricing and making them available. We are all about producing AKC quality puppies. 😊 

Pricing:

• We do offer a payment plan but your puppy has to be paid in full before leaving my care
• We would like to offer a discount of 300.00 taken off puppy price to all Military families. We will just need to see proof that you are indeed in the Military. This only applies to the person purchasing the said puppy , not a brother, sister , uncle , cousin, and so on.
• All repeat puppy parents will receive a 300.00 discount on the purchase price of a new puppy
• No discounts will be made on puppies that have been reduced in price 
• Normal price range for a healthy pet only with limited AKC puppy ranges from 2400.00 to 4000.00
• I do offer Full AKC to approved homes only
• We occasionally have puppies charting in the 3 pound range (this is not something we do on purpose). Pricing for the extra tiny’s is higher.
• Pricing for Merle’s will range from 3000.00 to 4000.00 
• Retiring adults vary in price and come spayed/nurtured along with a dental cleaning if needed 

Deposits:   

• We do require a deposit and you are more than welcome to set up a payment plan for the remaining balance
• Deposits are 1000.00 
• The deposit amount will be deducted from the puppy’s price
• Deposits are non-refundable in most cases so please do not waste my time unless you are truly serious about wanting a puppy
• I do have the right to refund your deposit and discontinue the deal if at any time, and for any reason, I start to feel uncomfortable
• If something happens to puppy while under our care, you will have the option to have your puppy replaced with another puppy or your money returned
• Puppy will be paid in full before leaving our home

Driving to Meet Us:                                        

For those who would like to drive and meet us halfway or closer:

• Portland, Oregon - This is the furthest west we will drive. We meet at Cascade Station in front of PetSmart. Super easy to find and near PDX. When driving to Portland we normally only meet on Saturdays.
• The Dalles, Oregon - We meet right in the Burger King parking lot. Can meet any day. 
• Baker City, Oregon - We meet in the Safeway parking lot. Can meet any day.
• Ontario, Oregon - This is the furthest east we will drive. We meet at Love’s travel stop in the parking lot. When driving to Ontario we normally only meet on Saturdays.
• Kennewick, Washington - We meet in the Target parking lot. Can meet any day.
• Ritzville, Washington - We meet at Starbucks. Can meet any day.
• Spokane, Washington - This is the furthest northeast we will drive. Meeting place TBD. When driving to Spokane we normally only meet on Saturdays.
• Yakima, Washington - We meet at Walmart. When driving to Yakima we normally only meet on Saturdays.
• Ellensburg, Washington - This is the furthest northwest we will drive. Meeting place TBD. When driving to Ellensburg we normally only meet on Saturdays. 

Flying to Meet Us:

Sometimes it’s just easier to fly and pick up your puppy than to have a Pet Nanny. 

• PDX - Portland, Oregon is our closest major airport. We are 3 hours away and only like to meet on Saturdays because it’s an all-day trip. 
• PSC - Tri-City’s, Washington. This is not a major airport but I can meet any day.
• Eastern Oregon Regional Airport, this is a very small airport. They only fly Boutique Air from Portland, Oregon. I can meet any day.

Shipping with a Pet Nanny:           

We offer shipping around the USA with a pet nanny for an additional price ranging from 500.00 - 750.00 depending on the nanny and where puppy will be flying to. 

• A pet nanny is the person who will be flying in the cabin with your puppy and hand delivers him/her to your nearest airport.
• At some point, the nanny will be in contact with you. When they have touched down they will let you know and you will agree on where to meet each other. 
• I will meet and drop off your puppy to the nanny at my airport. 
• The nannies take good care of your baby during the flight. I send a blanket, Nutri-Cal and food with the pet nanny along with a few other items for your puppy. When you meet the nanny you give the shipping fee to the nanny in cash.
• We get in touch with the pet nanny and schedule delivery 1-2 weeks before the puppy is ready to go. Nannies fly standby so sometimes the nanny's schedule can change at the last minute depending on flight status.
• The nanny's schedule is not under my control so please keep in mind I do not take responsibility for the exact day/time of delivery.
